Seven hours leaves room to mix the two faces of Curaçao's nature: the calm western beaches and the rough limestone coast with its caves and pools. Real World Adventures puts the day together in the order you want, from west-coast beaches, snorkeling, turtles, flamingos, caves and natural pools.

The west-coast beaches lie in Banda Abou, the island's western end, in sheltered bays out of the trade winds, where the water is clear and usually calm. The tour photos show Grote Knip with the western hills behind it, the turquoise water of Playa Forti, snorkelers in the small cove of Playa Lagun, and a swim beside a sea turtle. In one photo, a small octopus rests on the guide's foot in a tide pool.

Inland and along the windward shore, the old coral limestone is full of caves. Kueba di Indjan, shown in the photos, has stalactites and green mineral walls, and another large cave opens to the sky through a natural skylight.

Where the surf spills over the rocks, it fills natural pools; one photo shows guests in a natural jacuzzi as the waves crash behind them. Along the way you may also see flamingos feeding in the salt pans, and the wild cows that graze near the coast.

With a full seven hours, there is time to slow down at the places you like best instead of rushing between them.
