Where you can go
This tour has no fixed route. You tell Real World Adventures what matters most to you, and they plan a nature-focused day around it, choosing from west-coast beaches, snorkeling, turtles, flamingos, caves and natural pools.
The beaches are mostly in Banda Abou, the western end of Curaçao, where small bays of white sand and clear water sit on the calm, sheltered side of the island. The tour's photos show Grote Knip with the hills of the west end behind it, the turquoise water at Playa Forti, snorkelers in the little cove at Playa Lagun, and a guest swimming alongside a sea turtle.
Much of the coast is old coral limestone, and the sea and rain have hollowed it into caves. Photos from this tour show Kueba di Indjan, with stalactites and green mineral walls, and a large limestone cave where a natural skylight lets the daylight in. Kueba is Papiamentu for cave.
Where the waves wash over the rocks, they fill natural pools in the limestone; one photo shows guests at a natural jacuzzi with the surf crashing behind them. Other pictures from the day show a small octopus resting on the guide's foot in a tide pool and a wild cow grazing near the coast.
If flamingos are on your list, they feed in the shallow salt pans found in several parts of the island.
