Two Private Try Dives the Same Day

Two Private Try Dives the Same Day – Curaçao’s south coast

The Little Green Boat · Curaçao’s south coast

Your first two scuba dives, on the same day and fully private. Fabien and Caro, who founded The Little Green Boat, take only your group: at most two beginners per instructor, never shared with other guests. The first dive gets you used to breathing underwater, at your own pace after a briefing on the shore; on the second you can take in more of the reef. They choose the sites on the day, for the sea and for you, among their beginner sites on the south coast: where green sea turtles come to feed, a small wreck in calm, shallow water, or a coral nursery.

No diving certificate needed, from 10 years old; videos of your dives are included.

Book online on The Little Green Boat’s booking page: pick a date, book and pay by card.

Two dives on the south coast

With two dives on the same day, the first is about getting comfortable and the second is for the reef. Both take place on Curaçao's south coast, the calm, sheltered side of the island, where the reef begins close to shore and you can walk in from the beach instead of going out by boat.

Fabien and Caro, the founders of The Little Green Boat, choose the sites on the day to suit the sea and you. Their beginner sites include a place where green sea turtles come to feed, a small wreck in calm, shallow water, and a coral nursery.

The wreck in their photos is the Tugboat, a small sunken tug lying in shallow water in Caracasbaai. Other photos from their dives show a field of young staghorn coral, soft corals and sea rods, and the pillars of an old pier covered in orange sponges. Staghorn coral was once common across the Caribbean and has declined sharply, which is why coral nurseries on Curaçao grow it and replant it on the reef.

On the second dive you already know how breathing and moving with the equipment feel, so you can take in more of what is around you: the fish, the turtles and the corals.
