Do I need any diving experience?
No. This is a first dive for complete beginners: no diving certificate is needed, and the minimum age is 10.
What happens during the dive?
It starts with a briefing on the shore about how the equipment works, the safety rules and what you will see. You then walk in from the beach and practice breathing underwater where you can still stand. When you are ready, you go down together, slowly, with your instructor setting the pace and depth for your comfort. The dive is guided in English, French or Spanish.
When does it start, and how long does it take?
Dives start at 09:00 or 13:00, on the days The Little Green Boat's calendar shows. Allow about two and a half hours from meeting your instructor to saying goodbye. Book online at least 12 hours ahead. If you would like a second dive the same day, the two-dive option is USD 138 per person for both.
Will we dive with other guests?
No. The dive is fully private: 2 to 4 divers per booking, never shared with other guests, and at most two beginners per instructor.
What is included?
Your own instructor, only for your group, full scuba equipment, the briefing and supervision throughout the dive, water, juice and fresh fruit, and a video of your dive.
What should I bring?
Swimwear and a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, a change of clothes, and a hair tie if you have long hair.
Where do we meet, and is there pickup?
You meet your instructor at the dive site, which Fabien and Caro choose on the day among their beginner sites on the south coast. Pickup anywhere on the island is available on request.
How do I book, and what if I need to cancel?
Book on The Little Green Boat's own booking page: pick a date, book and pay by card. The price is USD 103 per person. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start, with a full refund, and until then you can also move your dive to another day with room. After that, and for a no-show or arriving too late to dive, there is no refund. If the sea is not safe, The Little Green Boat moves or cancels the dive, and they get in touch the day before your dive.
