Do I need diving or snorkeling experience?
No diving experience is needed. Beginners are welcome, but you must be able to swim: if you can swim, you can ride. The minimum age is 10.
Is the tour private?
Always. Reef Riders Curaçao, a small family business that guides its own guests, takes only your group of up to 4 guests, never a mixed group.
How long does it take, and where do we meet?
Plan on about 2 to 2½ hours, including the briefing. Meet at Fort Beekenburg in Caracasbaai and come 15 minutes early. You choose the day and time, and the tour goes ahead once Reef Riders confirm it.
What is included?
Your own underwater sea scooter, complete snorkel gear and a snorkel vest, a private snorkel guide, a safety and scooter briefing, cold water, and free underwater photos and videos of your ride.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen and a change of clothes.
How much does it cost, and how do I pay?
USD 100 per person. Send your preferred date and time and the number of guests; Kua Kaminda passes the request to Reef Riders on WhatsApp. Once they confirm your date is free, you pay 15% of the price online, through Stripe, to book, and the other 85% in cash to Reef Riders after the tour. There are no booking fees: the 15% is part of the price.
What if I cancel, or the weather is bad?
Cancel more than 24 hours before the start and your 15% is refunded in full. Cancel within 24 hours, or do not show up, and the 15% is not refunded. If Reef Riders cancel for the weather or your safety, you choose another date or get your 15% back. You can also move to another date with room, and your 15% moves with you.
