When does the charter run, and how long is it?

You choose the day and time you would like; the charter goes ahead once Reef Riders confirm that the slot is free. It is four hours on the water.

Do I need fishing experience, and is there a minimum age?

No experience is needed, and guests from 10 years old can join. The electric reels bring the heavy line up from the deep, which makes it easy even if you have never fished before.

How many people can come, and what does it cost?

The charter is private for up to 3 guests, and the price is for the whole boat: USD 390. The price shown is an estimate; you receive the availability and final price by email.

Where does it leave from, and is pickup included?

From Playa Santa Cruz on the sheltered west coast; if the weather calls for it, another departure point is possible. Pickup and drop-off are not included, so plan your own way to the beach.

What will we fish for, and can we keep the catch?

This is deep-water bottom fishing for Caribbean red snapper. You keep what you catch, and the captain cleans it for you.

What is included?

The private 22-foot boat with a shade roof, an experienced local captain, professional electric fishing reels, a Minn Kota trolling motor with Spot-Lock, fishing gear, bait and tackle, the fishing license, cold water and soft drinks, and the cleaning of your catch by the captain.

How does payment work?

Send your preferred date and time and the number of guests; Kua Kaminda passes the request to Reef Riders on WhatsApp. Once they confirm that your date is free, you pay 15% of the price online, securely through Stripe, to book. The other 85% is paid in cash to Reef Riders after the charter. There are no booking fees: the 15% is part of the price, not on top of it.

What if I need to cancel, or the weather turns?

Cancel more than 24 hours before the start and your 15% is refunded in full. Cancel within 24 hours, or do not show up, and the 15% is not refunded. If Reef Riders cancel for the weather or your safety, you choose between another date and getting your 15% back. You can also move to another date with room, and your 15% moves with you.
